Banana Nice Cream!
This is the basic process and we have added a little orange juice and lime zest to create a citrus-y complimentary topping for our cake. Enjoy the options!

  1. Peel and freeze your bananas. (see note below)
  2. Break up the frozen bananas into chunks and put them in your blender or food processor.
  3. Add the orange juice and lime zest.
  4. Whirl until smooth and serve right away or store in an airtight container in the freezer. If you like it to be a little firmer, just let it stay in the freezer for 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes

Try to make sure that your bananas are frozen with as little air around them as possible. We use a Food Saver machine that sucks the air away from the food. It is incredible how much better the bananas stay. We don’t get any of the brown, slimy freezer bananas that we have had in the past. It is great to have a few frozen for this or for making a quick batch of Banana Chocolate Chip Mindful Muffins!
