Gifts of Love

I first published this a year ago…what a difference a year can make! It seems like a different lifetime, but the need for kindness is even greater! Choosing our daily meals with compassion and staying healthy are priorities. It is also so important to be grateful for what we have and to appreciate all those making meals for their families, friends, or just for themselves; choosing what to eat is indeed a daily act of love and caring. We know that everything we eat has an effect on our bodies, both emotionally and physically. The gift of good health is the very best, most loving gift of all! We can choose how to best nourish our bodies and our hearts; make mindful choices and enjoy the deliciousness of so many wonderful vegan recipes that nurture us.

It is also a gift of love to choose food that not only heals but does the least harm to others; our fellow creatures and our planet deserve this. It is a loving choice in every way to eat in a way that makes the least impact on the earth.

Though it may require a little more time in the beginning, once you have the basic idea, it really isn’t difficult to maintain a vegan diet and the results are in: it makes a measurable difference in so many important ways! With every meal, you are choosing love over violence and greed. It should be an easy choice.
