Our title was actually inspired by Theodore Geisel, known to so many as Dr. Seuss! He was the author and illustrator of over 60 imaginative and influential children’s books, writing with skill, great heart, and so much wisdom! Though appearing whimsical, his stories encourage readers to think about the world and their place in it, to be more caring and compassionate, and to speak up for what is right. “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
In his book, Horton Hears A Who (and the movie that followed), it is a single, small voice, a single “YOPP”, that changes everything! It is a powerful message of encouragement to speak out and add your voice! Together, anything is possible! This is our YOPP!
Because, if we can be gentler on the planet, kinder to our fellow earthlings, and help the people in our lives be healthier and happier…why not?
