Rainbow Risoni Salad

A great make-ahead pasta salad, this one is high in protein and gluten-free when you use this red lentil “Risoni”.  The rainbow of coloured sweet peppers and lemony asparagus make this a family favourite!

Luscious Lemon and Berry Tarts

Savoury Sourdough Pancakes

Using some sourdough starter, it’s easy to create this savoury meal! A delicious mix of smoky corn and green onions make these pancakes a tasty treat any time of day. Drizzle with a little vegan hollandaise for a bright flavour addition.

Apple Pie-rogies

Warm apple pie-ish bites of goodness, these are scrumptious dipped in a cinnamon-spiced caramel sauce! This combination tastes of my childhood memories: eating apple pie with lots of cinnamon sauce!  A sweet, alternative way to use extra perogi dough!

Roasty Rainbow Pepper Soup

Enjoy slurping the rainbow in this quick and easy favourite, with or without the smoky corn. Try some homemade bread along side, like this wonderful  Patchwork Pull-Apart Bread, or this scrumptious Sunshine Bread!

Grandma’s Brown Sugar Cookies

Grandma used to make these for special occasions and the homemade flavour still brings back wonderful memories. A thin, lemony glaze is the perfect compliment to the richness of the brown sugar base; add some coloured glaze and swirl for extra fun!  A great activity for a house-bound day!

Chocolate Hazelnut Snowballs

Melt-in-your-mouth chocolate goodness combines with roasted hazelnuts to make a little magic! Roll them in icing sugar or dip them in chocolate and then roll them in some roasted hazelnut crumbs. Either version freezes well and they make great gifts!
