- 2 cups raw hazelnuts
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons water
- red food colouring optional but fun!

Instructions
- Heat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Toast hazelnuts in the oven for a few minutes, until nuts taste toasty. This only takes a few minutes. Watch to make sure they don't burn.
- In a pot, add your toasted nuts and 1/2 cup white sugar and 2 Tablespoons of water (with a little red food colouring for Valentine's Day sparkle!)
- Stir over medium heat until sugar melts, sticks to the nuts and crystalizes. Stir constantly.
- Turn out onto a piece of parchment paper to cool. While still warm, sprinkle with a little salt to bring out some great flavour!
- Chop these up a little and sprinkle where desired, or just eat whole! Enjoy!
