Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Peel and slice apples and put in large oven-safe casserole or large pie pan.
Mix all other dry ingredients except the almonds.
Cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly.
Sprinkle mixture over sliced apples. Sprinkle sliced almonds over the crumble. Place on a cookie sheet to catch potential drips.
Bake until bubbly and browned and apples are soft.
Serve warm with vegan ice cream or coconut whipped cream! Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
You can use fresh or frozen apple slices, but the frozen apples that I use in the spring create a base that is more like applesauce, while the fresh apples should maintain their shape. I like to bake with Jonagold apples in the fall, but this is a tasty way to eat apples off season.
