Better-than-ever Crunchy Granola
It is easy and quick to create your own combination of taste and nutrition. Nuts, seeds, dried fruit, oatmeal and a little maple syrup are combined, baked, and broken into delicious chunks. Keep a bag of this in your car or desk to keep hunger at bay in a healthy way!

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F. and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients, all the seeds, nuts, fruits, and grains, in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the melted butter or oil, the maple syrup, agave, vanilla, and orange zest. Add this to your large bowl and stir to coat evenly.
  4. On a parchment-lined cookie sheet, press your mixture into a flat layer about 1/2 inch thick. This will help it become clumped.
  5. Bake at 325 degrees F. for about 15 minutes and then stir gently and press together again. Continue baking until an even golden brown, 10-15 more minutes.
  6. When baked, let it cool completely before removing from pan. It will continue to crisp up.
  7. Once cool, break into pieces and store in an airtight container. If it loses its crunch, just give it a few minutes in a 325 degree oven, watching closely so it doesn’t burn. Let cool, and it will taste fresh again! Enjoy anytime!
