If you are looking for a simple but elegant side dish, this one is wonderful! Just grill up some fresh asparagus, toss on some roasted sliced almonds, season to taste and serve!

- 12 stalks asparagus
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh pomegranate seeds optional but wonderful!

Instructions
- In a 350 degree F. oven, toast the slivered almonds until they are a little brown.Watch closely so they don't burn. It should take only a few minutes.
- Wash and remove the hard ends of the asparagus stalks.
- Heat a grill or cast iron pan with a little oil. Lay your asparagus stalks in the pan and allow to brown a little and soften. Do not overcook. Season with a little salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the asparagus on your serving tray and sprinkle with browned almonds. Sprinkle a few pomegranate seeds over the top and serve hot. Enjoy!
