Caramel Corn was a traditional and greatly appreciated gift, handmade with love, from our Aunt Ruth and Uncle Harold every year! Sharing a homemade gift of this veganized crunchy treat might be a tradition to start with your family or friends! It’s quick and easy and the kids can help! Try adding some pecans or peanuts to make it a richer snack.

Kinder Caramel Corn
This is a lighter version of a holiday favourite. A sweet and salty syrup coats some air-popped corn and then bakes for a few minutes to a golden crunch! Easy and popular!
In a medium-sized pot, combine the brown sugar, agave. oat milk, butter, vanilla and salt, Stir and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, stir in the baking soda and reduce heat. Stir well as the mixture foams. Cook for 2 minutes on low and then pour the hot mixture over the popcorn. Stir quickly and well to cover as much of the popcorn surface as possible. If you are adding nuts, this is the time. Make sure the nuts get coated as well!
Spread the warm, coated popcorn out over the baking pans. It cooks better when not crowded. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, stirring half way through and watching closely to prevent burning.
Let cool a little and then enjoy! It will keep well for a few days in an airtight container, but it is best fresh! Enjoy!
