If you’ve never roasted brussel sprouts before, don’t wait any longer! Try this ever-so-easy mix of sweet and savoury and they will be a hit with any crowd!

- 2 dozen brussels sprouts
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1 Tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
- 2 Tablespoons roasted sesame seeds
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F. and spread the oil on a large baking sheet.
- Remove outer leaves that are bruised and trim the bottom of each sprout. Cut each one in half lengthwise.
- Toss the cleaned sprouts in a bowl with the tamari and maple syrup. Then toss these again as you distribute them evenly and in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Bake for about 10-15 minutes, stirring every few minutes to get lots of browning.
- Five minutes before ready to eat, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the sprouts and continue cooking to heat the seeds.
- When tender and well-browned, remove from oven and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm. Enjoy!
